Enrico Bertuzzo holds a degree and a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Padova. He was appointed Senior Scientist at the Laboratory of Ecohydrology, Ecole Politecnique Fédérale de Lausanne Scientist. He is now associate professor of hydrology in the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics at the University of Venice, Ca’ Foscari.

His scientific interests broadly include the study of the interactions between hydrology, ecology and biogeochemistry. He has studied in particular how complex landscapes (e.g. river networks, mountainous landscapes) shape the emerging ecological and biogeochemical patterns.

Enrico has contributed more than 80 papers in peer reviewed international journals including Nature, Nature Communications, PNAS, Ecology Letters, Plos Medicine and Geophysical Research Letters (Scopus H-index=26, google scholar H-index=31).
